Today I want to share a ways to tidy up appearance on Start Menu in the Windows XP Operating System with removing the “recently-used programs” as listed below.

- You need to change to Classic Menu appearance. The way is right click on start menu, go to properties, choose on the Classic menu selection, and click ok.
- The second way is right click on start menu and press the “customize” that biside with start menu button. Then you go to general tab that is on the top. After that you set “number of programs on the Start menu” to Value 0 and press OK. If you want to back to normal, you just need to set the value according your need.
